Please note: Construction is currently underway to replace the playground structure at Woodland Hills Park. The playground area will be closed until fall 2025.
Overview
This summer, the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department (PRCS) will be working to enhance the existing playground structure in Woodland Hills Park in northeast Colorado Springs. This project will enhance the play experience and improve accessibility for all visitors.
Key features of the renovation include:
- The installation of a more accessible play surface
- ADA improvements, including a new ramp providing access to the play pit
- The addition of an accessible picnic table.
- The installation of a new play structure.

We would like to thank the residents who came to the neighborhood meeting in May to help select the playground theme and design.

Funding for this project has been secured through the Trails, Open Space and Parks (TOPS) sales and use tax program and the City of Colorado Springs Office of Accessibility.
