Housing Development works to eliminate slum and blight conditions while improving the well-being of low income households by providing financial assistance through grants to improve housing conditions for qualifying low- and moderate-income households within the City of Colorado Springs.
Funds provided for housing rehabilitation are made available through programs offered by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The HUD programs include the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) and HOME Investment and Partnership Program (HOME). The funds from these programs must be used for eligible items as defined by HUD and the Housing Development Division.
