The Spirit of the Springs Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Mayor Harry Hoth during the 2015 State of the City on September 9. Harry Hoth served as the Mayor of Colorado Springs from 1963-67 and as a city council member from 1959-67. He served with the U.S. Marines in World War II. He became the president and general manager of KRDO AM/TV and grew the Pikes Peak Broadcasting Company. He has served on many boards and is the recipient of many prestigious awards and honors. We are fortunate to have Harry Hoth –a true visionary in our community
Harry Hoth served as the Mayor of Colorado Springs from 1963-67 and as a city council member from 1959-67
He served with the U.S. Marines in World War II
Harry Hoth became president and general manager of KRDO AM/TV and grew the Pikes Peak Broadcasting Company
He has served on many boards and is the recipient of prestigious awards and honors including the United States of America Award for Outstanding Civilian Service to the United States Army
He was inducted into the:
- Broadcast Pioneers of Colorado Hall of Fame
- Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo Hall of Fame
- Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame
