Do you know your rights to fair housing? The City of Colorado Springs and El Paso County are inviting residents to attend the free “Know Your Rights to Fair Housing” event on Thursday, April 25 at 5:30 pm at the Family Success Center (1520 Verde Dr., Colorado Springs, 80910).
Join City and County staff for snacks and to learn about federal, state and local fair housing laws. They will also provide information on the rights of tenants with disabilities and reasonable accommodation.
“Many residents may not know that there are laws that protect residents from housing discrimination,” said Barb Van Hoy with the City’s Housing and Community Vitality Department. “This event can help equip residents with the information they may need to help find a safe and secure home.”
