What is AskCOS?
AskCOS is the City of Colorado Springs’ new AI-powered virtual assistant. The chatbot is located in the bottom right corner of every page of the City’s website on both mobile and desktop and helps answer resident questions 24/7 by searching ColoradoSprings.gov to provide relevant answers and webpages to questions and requests.
How does it work?
The AI-powered chatbot uses content across all of ColoradoSprings.gov as its knowledge base, or training data, meaning it only uses the information on the website to develop answers. It won’t use outside websites or search engines to help formulate answers.

What should I do if AskCOS doesn’t understand my question?
You can try rephrasing your question, or there are plenty of people here at the City of Colorado Springs to help! Just call 719-385-CITY or contact a City department directly.
Does AskCOS offer help in multiple languages?
Yes! You can submit your questions in your preferred language and AskCOS will respond in the same language.
How does AskCOS get its answers?
AskCOS uses content from the City’s website as its knowledge base, or training data, to formulate its answers. This means answers are generated directly from City webpages, and that the chatbot is not using other websites or search engines to generate its responses.
What can I do if I am concerned about a specific response?
