Mayor Yemi Mobolade will recognize seven individuals for their outstanding impact on the Colorado Springs community on Wednesday, Nov. 6 during the eleventh annual Mayor’s Young Leader Awards. The awards ceremony will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Pinery at the Hill (775 W. Bijou).

Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi was nominated and received the first award in the Community and Economic Impact category when the program launched under former mayor Steve Bach in 2015. Since then, 56 members of the community in seven categories have received this prestigious award.

There are 35 finalists across the seven award categories in the 2024 class. The program celebrates the exceptional achievements of young professionals aged 40 and under who are making a positive impact in Colorado Springs through their professional and volunteer activities. The event will be emceed by Fox21’s Chief Meteorologist Matt Meister. Event sponsors include Common Spirit Health at Penrose Hospital, GE Johnson, Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center, Southern Colorado Business Forum and Digest, Ting Internet, and Wolf and Key Marketing.
